Steven Lee Adams, Sr., age 55, passed away on March 31, 2021. Born in Mannington, he was the son of Arthur Eugene Adams, Sr. and Sharon Lee (Dawson) Bogart. Steve was a life-long resident of Salem County except for the few years that he spent in Chesapeake City in Maryland. He was a 1984 graduate of Pennsville Memorial High and served his country in the United States Army. Steve worked over the years as a self-employed truck driver. He enjoyed camping anywhere in Salem County, especially at Four Seasons, but it always had to be in a tent. He enjoyed gardening, watching war movies and going to military shows. Steve is survived by his mother Sharon Bogart of Florida; his children Steven Adams Jr. (Kimberly) of Carneys Point, Ashley Adams (James Todd) of Carneys Point and Dustin Adams (Megan Hower) of Deepwater; his grandchildren Grace and Kaylee, Kayden and Keith Adams; siblings Arthur "Gene" Adams Jr. and Tammy Messick (Ed), both of Florida; his dogs Nahla, Camo and Dalilah; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Arthur Adams Sr., his brother Michael Adams and his stepfather Robert Bogart. A celebration of Steve's life will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the VFW Post 1952, 171 S. Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070 from 1 PM to 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Steve's memory to the Salem County Humane Society, PO Box 214, Carneys Point, NJ 08069.
