Rowland E. McDowell Jr., 76 of Pittsgrove passed away abruptly on March 16,2022. Born in Philadelphia, Rowland was the son of the late Rowland Sr. and Julia Vermuth McDowell. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces from 1968 to 1973. Rowland was a printer by trade and formed ARK Printing in the 1970’s. He later went on to work for Lincoln Graphics in Cherry Hill as a lithographer which is where he retired from. He had a strong passion for Lionel Trains in which he collected and took pride in. He is survived by his son Chris McDowell, daughter Andrea Szalay (Stephen) and two granddaughters Sophia and Mary. He was predeceased by his wife Estelle and son Todd D. McDowell. Services will be held this Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the Adams Funeral Home, 111 S. Main St., Elmer, NJ 08318. The viewing will begin at 10 AM with the service to follow at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Olivet Cemetery in Pittsgrove. www.adamsfuneralhome.org
