Ray C. Ryan

Ray C. Ryan, 85, of Carneys Point, NJ passed Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Born in Woodbury to the late Raymond G. Ryan and Carolyn (Volk) Ryan, Ray's family moved from Woodbury to Penns Grove when he was 6 years old. He was a 1955 graduate of St. James High School in Penns Grove and graduated from the University of Delaware. Ray served his country in the United States Army. He started his career working at DuPont-Plant One in Carneys Point, and moved onto DuPont Glasgow which would later become Siemens from which he retired. Ray enjoyed playing saxophone, keyboards and bass in a jazz band then a rock band. Ray also enjoyed working on cars and rebuilding Corvettes with his brother-in-law Joe Borrelli. Ray will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Ray is survived by his loving wife Becky (Borrelli) Ryan, his son Ray J. Ryan, his daughter Michele Queenan (Jay) of Massachusetts; his grandchildren Ray N. Ryan, Ryan F. Morris (Eva) of Iowa, Aaron B. Morris (Mimi) of Carneys Point, Jessica Ryan and Nicholas Queenan, both of Massachusetts his great granddaughter Adriana Ryan, his two siblings Shirley A. Waddell and Bob Ryan, both in Florida and many nieces and Nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Eleanor "Ellie" Ryan and his sisters Carol Chwieroth and Rita Gerrells. Services will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098. There will be visitation starting at 10am leading to the service at 11am.
