Milford J. Zane

Milford Jerry Zane, age 75, passed away on February 28, 2022. Known to many as "Bob" or "Bubby", he previously lived in Pitman, NJ but has resided in Luray, VA for the past 19 years. Born in Salem, NJ, he was the son of the late Milford H. and Geraldine E. (Kiger) Zane. Milford was a longtime collector of coins and he liked to attend auctions and shoot pool. He enjoyed helping his community and spending time with his friends in Virginia. Milford was an auto mechanic by trade and he also worked as a real estate agent for many years in New Jersey. He was the owner and operator of Zane's Locksmith Shop for over 30 years in New Jersey and Virginia. Milford also served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1967. Milford is survived by his daughter Stephanie A. Zane; his brothers Hillard Zane and his wife Rosemary, Larry Zane, Douglas Zane and his wife Robin and Jeffrey Zane and his wife Tammy; his sisters Virginia Griscom, Linda Cossaboon and her husband Brian and Judith Hitchner; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Tina Zane and Lucy Zane. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098. There will be a visitation starting at 10 AM leading to the funeral service at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Lawnside Cemetery in Pilesgrove, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Milford's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital online at www.stjude.org.
