Having given herself to the Lord, Marilyn Sheriffs, 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 5, 2021 with her family by her side. Marilyn was born March 30, 1931, daughter of the late Marion (Todd) Diehl and Rudolph Henry Diehl. She grew up in Massachusetts where she graduated from Classical High School and was employed in the office of the Springfield Armory. She met her beloved husband Ronald Sheriffs in 1950 on a blind date and married two years later. While in the military they spent time in South Carolina and Okinawa after which they moved back to Massachusetts, then Zanesville, Ohio and finally residing in Carneys Point, NJ. Marilyn was an avid reader, long standing member of Calvary Baptist Church in Carneys Point, and enjoyed many activities with the senior group there, volunteered with the American Red Cross, Meals on Wheels of Salem County and the American RSD Hope. Marilyn is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Pamela Sayers and her husband Randy of Lower Alloways Creek and Wendy Williams and her husband Bob of Pilesgrove, a sister Eleanor Dietrich of Massachusetts and sister in law Marilyn Orsini of North Carolina. She was Mom-Mom to 6 grandchildren; Melissa, Charlene, Randy Jr., Lauren, Amy, and Jared as well as 20 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, her infant daughter Deborah and a son Michael predeceased her. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 3 pm at Lawnside Cemetery, 1017 Route 40, Pilesgrove, NJ 08098. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Marilyn's memory to Calvary Baptist Church, 300 Georgetown Road, Carneys Point, NJ 08069 or to the American Red Cross by going to www.redcross.org/donate.
