John H. Robinson

John H. "Robbie" Robinson, age 86, of Woodstown passed away on March 28, 2022. Born to the late Harry and Myrtis (Kiesel) Robinson, he was a lifelong Salem County resident, growing up in Penns Grove and graduating from Penns Grove High School. Robbie spent his career working at DuPont Chambers Works in Deepwater, where he formed many friendships during his time progressing from an apprentice through the ranks up until his retirement at age 55. An avid fisherman, he also operated his own business, Rods 'n' Things, out of the basement of his home. Robbie served his country in the National Guard and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodstown. Robbie dearly loved traveling the country with wife Sandra, visiting 49 states including Alaska and spending many winters in Florida. But he will be remembered as a master craftsman, whether it be carpentry, custom fishing rods, or weaving his clever wit and terrific sense of humor, he invested pride and attention to detail in all things. In addition to his parents, Robbie was predeceased by his wife of 63 years Martha A. "Sandra" (Seagrave) Robinson, his brothers Harry Robinson, Frederick "Fred" Robinson (Dorothy), Charles "Buddy" Robinson (Frances) and Albert Robinson (Martha "Joy") and his sisters Myrtis "Sis" Glenn (Albert) and Vivian Humphreys (Paul). He is survived by many nieces, nephews and other dear friends and family. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 11 AM at Lawnside Cemetery, 1017 Route 40, Pilesgrove, NJ 08098. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capital Endowment Fund at The First Baptist Church of Woodstown, 117 South Main Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098.
