Herbert W. McCarson, Sr., 77, of Gibbstown passed away on January 31, 2022. Born in Woodbury, Herb was the son of Herbert H. & Mary (Yelko) McCarson. He graduated from Paulsboro High School in 1963, was an avid hunter and a member of the Salem County Sportsmen’s Club. He was also a member of the Paulsboro United Methodist Church and served in the National Guard. He is survived by his wife Patricia; children, Cynthia LaRosa and her husband Robert , Herbert (Kit) Jr. (Kristi Levitsky) and Shelia Himes (Garret Kratzer); a brother, Douglas T. McCarson; four grandchildren, Dain Gant, Gianna Osborn, Alexi & Jordan LaRosa as well as two nephews, Keith and Sean McCarson. Both parents predeceased him.
