Charles "Chuck" Richard Ayars, Jr., age 44, of Pennsville passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022. Born in Mannington, he was the son of Charles R. Ayars, Sr. and Debra (Watkins) Robinson. He worked for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542 as a crane operator. Chuck will be remembered as a family man, full of life that will live through his wife and kids. He never ceased to put everyone first when it came to family and friends. He enjoyed the simple things in life and when it came to the outdoors he could not resist. From years of camping, sports, and four wheeling with family he created a lifetime of memories for his boys, which will be hard to top as they develop into the young men they were raised to be. As an amazing father and husband, he never gave up on the chance to create memories. From vacations, sporting events, throwing horseshoes, and throwing bags he never ceased to encourage competition. He made contributions to the town as “Coach Chuck” and always posed as a pillar for the community as the ‘winner’ of all local games and tournaments. Loved by many he will live on throughout every tournament and every competition as the one to beat. As a son, father, friend, and husband, he always gave the best, as a supportive husband brought up three young boys; both Chuck and his wife Jami raised their children with the same integrity and strength as he showed everyone throughout his life. His involvement in all aspects of his family’s life, outlined his character and projected that into his way of life. If he was not around family, he was surrounded by friends, living each day to the fullest. With his determination and respect amongst his peers he lives on as a legend. Chuck lives through each of his friends and family and will live on through his lifetime of memories. Chuck is survived by his mother Debra Robinson and her husband Ed; his wife Jami Elice (Hannah) Ayars; his sons Charles "Chucky" Richard Ayars III, Connor James Ayars and Chase Robert Ayars; his sister Casey Geary (Scott); nephews Aiden Geary and Herb Hannah III; father and mother in law Herb Hannah Sr. and Linda Hannah; brother in law Herb Hannah Jr.; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Charles R. Ayars, Sr., his nephew Christopher Geary; maternal grandparents David Watkins Sr. and Rebecca Watkins; and paternal grandmother Betty Lee. A memorial service will be held on Thursday night, January 27, 2022 at Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098. There will be a visitation from 5 PM to 7 PM followed by the service at 7 PM. Interment will be private. Instead of a Celebration of Life for Chuck his friends and family will be arranging a cornhole/horseshoe tournament sometime in 2022.
