Anna Kuru, age 67, of Elmer passed away on February 5, 2020. The daughter of Petro and Leokadja (Wroblewska) Jakymczuk, she was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved to South Jersey with her family in her adolescence and she attended Delsea Regional High School. Anna loved dealing with the public and she worked all of her life as a waitress at the Presidential Diner in Vineland, the Elmer Diner and the Bear Diner in Delaware. Anna was an avid Bowler and she was so good that she was pursued by scouts for the American Bowling Congress. She loved to go to Atlantic City and the casinos and she loved her tacos with extra sour cream. She was a wonderful mother and sister and she, along with her smile and unmistakable laugh will be surely missed. Anna is survived by her daughters Anna Marie Adkins Oliver and her husband Pedro of Pittsgrove, Jeanette Schmidt and her husband Dave of Alloway, Cagla Kuru Erdogan and her husband Aykut; Her sons Harold Lee Adkins and his wife Barbara of Maryland and Roger Adkins and his wife Ann of Malaga; her grandchildren Ben and Ellis Oliver, Aaron and Rebecca Schmidt, Cagri Alp Erdogan, Harold Lee Jr. and Robert Thomas Adkins, Christopher, Aaron and Adam Adkins; her siblings Katheryna Grosso of Malaga, Olga Sims and her husband Don of Elmer and Bill Jakymczuk and his wife Karen of Pittsgrove; as well as Doner and Kamil Kuru; many nieces and nephews, beloved friends and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Sylvester, Pete, John and Wlodimir Jakymczuk and her former husband Robert Lee Adkins. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
